Hi, I'm Monica Laurence.
I’m Monica Laurence — a maverick entrepreneur, mentor, and thought partner to bold founders. I coach the inner game of success — unlocking luck, abundance, and opportunity — and pair it with winning strategies to deliver scale and impact.
I created Quantum Surfing, a framework blending quantum physics, neuroscience, and applied enlightenment to teach innovators how to be predictably lucky. Through The Mavericks Game newsletter, global community, coaching, and retreats, I inspire leaders to operate at their edge with excellence — and joy.
Over the years, I’ve built and exited ventures, served on the board of Bucknell University’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and founded Tavola, a luxury villa resort in Fiji. My career has spanned startups and some of the world’s most recognized brands, including Lucasfilm, Disney, Intuit, and Accenture. I draw on both my technical roots as a computer scientist and my strategic vision as an MBA in Strategy and Entertainment from UCLA to guide founders toward breakthrough success.

My creative passions include sustainable design and fashion. I love reinventing castoffs into captivating statements, and I’m a certified men’s fashion stylist trained in Milan. I also apply this love of design to crafting spaces that are immersive and magnetic, combining color, texture, and shape. These environments foster reflection, rejuvenation, creativity, belonging, and even greatness — as I do at Tavola Fiji, and beyond.
I’m a certified yoga instructor, an advanced diver (who secretly prefers snorkeling), and a pilgrim of the Camino Santiago — always seeking beauty, adventure, and meaning along the way.
